Keeping Boats & RVs at the ASC

The ASC offers dry storage for trailered boats, moorings for small keelboats, and rack storage for kayaks, paddleboards, and small sailboats. We also have spaces for transient and long-term RV parking.

The ASC requires that anybody who keeps a boat or seasonal-use RV at the club be an active participating member, which we define as a member in good standing who has also done one of the following within the last year:

  • Participated in at least two ASC regattas as a racer or race committee member.
  • Worked in a volunteer capacity to advance our non-profit mission.
  • Worked on a board-approved project designed to fulfill this requirement.

For short-term RV parking (four days or less), you simply need to be an ASC member in good standing.

The ASC is not a secure location, and all personal property kept there is done so at the owner’s risk. Further, the ASC may move personal property as needed for club activities.

Boat Storage

We have storage for trailered dinghies, small moored keelboats, and rack space for paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, and small sailboats.

Trailed dingies

The ASC has space for members to keep trailered dinghies at the club on a long-term basis. This space is at a premium and is intended only for boats that sail at least three times per season. To keep a trailered boat at the ASC, you must obtain permission from the Senior Vice Commodore. The ASC assesses a $100.00 annual fee for each trailered boat you keep at the sailing club.

Moored keelboats

We currently have spots for nine moored keelboats. For most moorings, the maximum length of boat we can support is 22’, although we have a few moorings that can handle boats up to 26’. Our moorings are a popular resource, and you may need to wait several years for a spot to become available. If you have questions about mooring a boat or want to join the waiting list for a mooring, you can contact the ASC Harbormaster. The ASC assesses a $100.00 annual fee for boats moored in our harbor.

Paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, and small sailboats

The ASC has rack storage space for canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and small sailboats, which members can use at no cost.

RV Parking

This ASC has space for long-term RV parking and three to four transient RVs.

Transient RV parking

The ASC welcomes members to bring their RVs to the club for stays up to four days. Depending on the size of the rigs currently on site, we have space for between three and four RVs. These spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you plan to bring your RV to the club, please review our transient RV parking guidelines before leaving.

Long-term RV parking

To use a long-term space for an RV at the ASC, you must obtain permission from the Senior Vice Commodore. Once you’ve obtained permission, you must register your RV, and the ASC assesses a $100 annual fee for seasonal RV parking. Spaces for long-term RV parking and mooring are in high demand, and you may be placed on a waiting list for up to several years before space becomes available.

If you’re interested in a seasonal space for an RV, we recommend that you review our long-term RV parking guidelines.
